CARE
CARE
Wood:
Do not allow item to get wet. If it does, please wipe off all liquid immediately. Oil finish is easy to touch-up in the event of scratches or dings. Simply sand the affected area, then rub a bit of oil into the wood. Allow to dry at least 24 hours before using.
Do not expose the item to extreme temperature changes or humidity. Since wood is a natural material, item may be prone to warping.
Do not use water, soap, or other cleaners. Wipe gently with a microfiber dust cloth.
Metal:
Brass and copper components in this product are unlacquered and made from a corrosion-resistant alloy. This unlacquered finish allows for easier maintenance and refinishing over time, as there's no lacquer coating to remove before touching up the surface. Over time, the metal will naturally develop a patina, creating a beautiful living finish that evolves with use.
If desired, the metal can be gently polished using a maroon Scotch-Brite pad to restore its original bright appearance.
Do not allow the item to become wet. If moisture occurs, wipe it off immediately. Avoid using water, soap, or any cleaning agents. For regular maintenance, wipe the brass gently with a microfiber dust cloth.
Brass Weights and Switch Plate:
Brass weights and switch plates are finished with a lacquer to protect against tarnish and corrosion. This lacquer also helps prevent accidental electrical shorts inside the keyboard. Over time, the brass will still develop a subtle patina, creating a beautiful living finish.
Do not allow the item to become wet. If moisture occurs, wipe it off immediately. Avoid using water, soap, or any cleaning agents. For regular maintenance, wipe gently with a microfiber dust cloth.
PCB:
Always hold the PCB by the edges to avoid damaging components or connectors. Make sure to avoid flexing. Do not bend or twist the PCB when installing it into your case. Be gentle while inserting sockets into the board, if you have purchased a hotswap-compatible variant. Insert the switches straight and firmly—do not force or rock them.
Avoid any exposure to liquids or high humidity. Moisture can damage the PCB and cause malfunction. While rare, static discharge can harm electronics. Touch a metal object before handling the PCB to reduce risk.
Dust only with air. If you have to clean your PCB, use a can of compressed air or a soft brush. Do not use water, alcohol, or cleaning sprays. Please do not attempt to remove components or modify the board.
Use standard USB-C power. Always connect to a computer or USB power source rated for keyboard use. Use only the firmware that is outlined in the instructions for each keyboard kit. Do not try to flash custom firmware. Improper flashing can brick the PCB.

A premium 65% mechanical keyboard kit with an all-wood case and solid metal accents, featuring tons of customization options
Key Features
Every detail of the NULL65 Series 2.0 is designed to elevate both your typing experience and your desk setup, from its refined materials to its thoughtful ergonomics and acoustics. Whether you prioritize aesthetics, feel, or sound, this board offers the flexibility to make it distinctly your own.

Made with Locally-Sourced Domestic Wood
All of our wood products are crafted from locally-sourced North American hardwoods and are made, assembled, and hand-finished in Pennsylvania by skilled artisans.
-
Customizable Side Accents
Choose solid brass or stainless steel accents in brushed or fluted designs. Brass develops a rich patina over time, while stainless steel keeps a clean, timeless look. Our removable accent system makes swapping finishes easy, and the new fluted option adds both visual depth and a satisfying tactile element.
-
USB Cutout Metal Accent
A signature detail of our cases, the solid metal inlay protects the port from wear while tying into the board's premium accents.
-
Premium Brass Weight Upgrade
Upgrade your board with brushed solid brass weights for added heft, richer tone, and a refined, high-end aesthetic. Heavier than the standard aluminum weights included with your case, brass delivers a premium look, feel, and sound.

Adjustable Typing Angle
Add our custom-milled keyboard feet for a 6° typing angle, or leave them off for a flat build.

Custom Mounting
Remove the middle standoffs for a softer, more flexible typing feel, or leave them in for added stability and firmness.

Sound Dampening
Enhance your build with our foam kit, mixing and matching layers to fine-tune dampening, resonance, and tone.

Our hotswap PCB lets you change switches without soldering, perfect for testing different switch types or making quick updates. FAQ
Is this a complete keyboard? What else will I need for my build?
The NULL65 Series 2.0 keyboard kit is barebones, meaning it will come with everything you need for the build besides switches, keycaps, stabilizers, lubricant (optional), and a USB-C power cable. If you need some recommendations for any of these parts, please reach out as we would be happy to assist!
What makes the Series 2.0 case different than the Series 1.0?
A lot of improvements have been made with the newly released Series 2.0.
- Side accents are now removable! This allows you to customize your build even more by swapping out different accent styles and materials. Accents are thicker and provide stabilization for your wood case, preventing unwanted movement between seasons.
- An extra internal weight was added, giving the board more heft, and a more premium feel. Internal weights are now attached with screws (vs. tape), allowing you to both install and remove them more easily. The weights also act as stabilizers for the case, similar to how wood tables tops are secured with metal bars. Aluminum weights are now included with all case purchases, with the option to upgrade to brass weights.
- New premium finishes were added, for both the wood case and the metal side accents. For wood, you can now choose from Ink Black or Whitewash, and for the side accents, both Brass and Stainless Steel brushed materials are now available in a fluted option.
- The top edge profile for case customization has been streamlined to a chamfered finish. This ensures future compatibility with accessory items such as a macropad or numpad, without concerns about specific variations being in stock. This change also strengthens our brand language, with the chamfered top edge standing as both a customer favorite and a signature detail unique to our wood cases.
What makes the Series 2.0 wrist rest different than the Series 1.0?
With Series 2.0, wrist rests have adopted an all-wood profile, creating a more unified aesthetic across different setups. They are compatible with both Series 1.0 and 2.0 cases, though the metal accents on Series 1.0 wrist rests were originally designed to match their cases and won't align perfectly with the new Series 2.0 accents.
Why does the wood look unfinished?
This is intentional! Each of our wood products is hand-sanded and finished with a hardwax oil. This combination allows the oil to penetrate deep into the wood, protecting it from within while enhancing its natural beauty and providing surface protection against light wear and tear.
Unlike built-up film finishes such as polyurethane or lacquer, hardwax oil contains 0 VOCs (volatile organic compounds), making it safe for kids, pets, and the environment. It also avoids the "plastic" look of film finishes, instead giving the wood a natural, hand-rubbed appearance that lets you to see and feel the grain.
Hardwax oil is also far easier to maintain. Film finishes require stripping the entire surface to repair damage, but with hardwax oil, you can simply spot-treat dry areas or scratches, keeping your piece looking beautiful for a lifetime.
Can I get my own switch plate cut for the NULL65-V1 PCB?
Yes! If you would like a material for your switch plate that we do not currently offer, then you can get it cut yourself using the plate file provided in the Product Attachments section above. There are many great manufacturer options to choose from, including LaserBoost, SendCutSend, Xometry, and individual Etsy sellers.
Can use the NULL65 Series 2.0 case with a different vendor's PCB/plate?
While we can’t guarantee compatibility with every vendor’s PCB or plate, our cases are designed around the standard tray-mounting holes for 65% keyboards. If your PCB follows that standard, it should fit. For guaranteed compatibility and the best experience, we recommend choosing a complete NULL65 Series 2.0 barebones kit.
Can I use the NULL65-V1 PCB/Plate/Foam with my NULL65 Series 1.0 Case?
Yes! The NULL65-V1 PCB is a standard tray-mount PCB and will fit in our Series 1.0 Case (size 65% only). The plate and foam can also be used with the Series 1.0 Case (size 65% only).
Can I use the NULL65-V1 PCB/Plate/Foam in a different vendor's case?
While we cannot guarantee that the NULL65-V1 PCB/Plate will fit in any tray-mount case, as long as the case has standard tray-mount holes, then it should fit. Examples include the Tofu65, Tada68, etc. If you're using our NULL65 Case foam, this will most likely have to be modified to fit.
Why does my cherry case look darker or lighter than the product photos?
Cherry is a unique wood that is highly reactive to UV light. Its color will change over time, gradually darkening with exposure to develop a beautiful, deep, and rich tone.
